We offer many different rehabilitation services. We know what our patients need and are ready to take the first step with them on the path towards recovery.

Physical Therapy

Physical therapy for seniors is important, and we’ll be there every step of the way. We understand our patients’ needs and have suited our program to accommodate them. As we age our muscles become weaker and cause our balance to become weaker as well. A proper rehabilitation program can help you to regain your balance and your state of mind.

Occupational Therapy

Independence is something that many seniors lose. Occupational therapy, which is therapy that has the patient do tasks required in everyday life, can help you regain your independence. Occupational therapy can help improve your memory and mental state. This kind of therapy can help your overall health and make it possible for you to face life’s daily challenges.

Medical Staff

We have trained medical staff on site including a hospitalist, psychiatrist, physiatrist, and physician.

Hospitalists are on site physicians that generally stay in a hospital. In this case our hospitalist is at the Shaw Mountain building.

Psychiatrists are medical professionals who specialize with mental sickness. Unlike psychologists, they are able to prescribe medication.

Psyiatrists work with patients who are doing physical therapy. They’ll be with you every step of the way on your road to recovery.

A general physician also visits with our patients who have medical needs.

Shaw Mountain focuses on patient-centered rehabilitation. With our in-house rehabilitation gym, we utilize a comprehensive approach of Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapies. By doing so, our team can work together with the patient to achieve the highest results possible. In addition to exceptional rehabilitation, we are partnered with an outstanding team of physicians that specialize in rehabilitation to ensure the most desired outcomes for each patient are achieved. Shaw Mountain is pleased to offer rehabilitation therapy seven days a week by highly qualified and licensed personnel.

Long-term Care

If you do require a more long-term stay option, our skilled nursing facility offers a variety of conveniences and amenities to make Shaw Mountain as homelike and comfortable as it can be both for the residents and for their families. We offer services in our facility that include individualized attention and care from our experienced and skilled nursing staff such as assistance with activities of daily living from simple guidance with dressing to complete care for all your loved ones needs. Shaw Mountain also provides all our residents with an Activities Program run by our Activities Director, social services for our residents and families as they navigate through their journey of long term care living, and more. Our goal is for our residents to recover from medical conditions with dignity while receiving the quality, compassionate care they deserve.

Memory Care

Memory care is a long-term care arrangement offered at Shaw Mountain specially designed for residents with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and other cognitive impairments. Also known as Alzheimer’s care or dementia care, memory care is provided within a separate section of our facility. Staffed by professionals who are trained to provide this specialized care, our program is specifically designed to provide appropriate stimulation and support in a homelike, secure area. This type of dedicated care may be the best option for an older adult with severe memory loss or cognitive decline who is no longer able to live independently.

Memory Unit

We offer memory care services for those with Alzheimers and Dementia. We make sure that you’re always comfortable and feel safe while in our memory unit.
